KISS Revealed Their Faces
KISS shocked the Music World On This Day September 18, 1983 when they appeared on MTV without their makeup. The Bands face painting was their trademark and it helped separate them from their competition. As kids in the 80s we would emulate the group by painting our face with our favorite band member and always screwing it up. Putting on the makeup was tough even for the band members. Paul Stanley, who has the famous Painted Star on his right eye said he blinded himself a few times. The four original face painting designs The Starchild, The Demon, The Spaceman, and The Catman have been patented and trademarked with ownership by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.
