Created by Patrick Hasburgh and Stephen J. Cannell the show was an early hit for the Fox Network creating a new younger audience.

The series provided a jump start to Johnny Depp's acting career, giving him national recognition as a teen idol. Depp was making 45,000 per episode.

Did you know spin-off was casted called Booker?  It was produced for the character of Dennis Booker played by Richard Grieco.  Unfortunately, it only ran for one season.
